Description
C. Sharps 1852 Breechloading Saddle Ring Carbine.Serial no. 2905 [upper tang], .52 caliber, 21-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. ROBBINS & / LAWRENCE stamped to top of barrel. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Brass barrel band, hinged patchbox and buttplate.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with scattered areas of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Saddle ring absent. Dings and scuffs present to wood. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
