Description
Spanish-American War Medals and Badges: Numbered U.S. Navy Spanish Campaign Medal and Three Veteran Badges.Includes: 1) U.S. Navy Spanish Campaign Medal, 32.5 mm in diameter, numbered 1737 on the rim, first pattern ribbon, split brooch, pinback. 2) United Spanish-American War Veteran's badge with 39 mm celluloid photo pendant featuring an unidentified veteran in U.S.V.W. uniform. The pin-back eagle brooch is maker marked Mayer, Inc. 3) Spanish-American War veterans' watch fob, 31 x 31 mm. 4) United Spanish-American War Veterans' badge featuring a 32 x 32 mm bronzed cross suspended from an eagle brooch via a silk U.S. flag ribbon, pinback, maker-marked W. E. Smith Co., Indianapolis.
Condition: 1) Scattered nicks on the edge, else very good. 2) Some scuffing to printing on the ribbon, else very good. 3) Very good. 4) Flag ribbon with moderate to heavy fraying, otherwise very good condition.
