U.S. Colt Artillery Single Action Army Revolver Inspected by Clark and Ainsworth.

Serial no. 92602 [frame], 955 [triggerguard], 6461 [cylinder] and 196 [butt], .45 caliber, 5 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Three-line, three-date patent and U.S. to left side of frame. D.F.C. inspector marks to base of barrel and frame. A inspector marks to triggerguard, cylinder and backstrap. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1883.

Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with noticeable signs of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Heavy dings, scuffs and bruising present to wood. Action not working, needs adjustment. Moderately pitted bore. The Bill Bentham Collection.
