Description
1860 Cavalry Sword by C. Roby / W. Chelmsford.34 ½-inch slightly curved, bright blade marked "C. ROBY / W. CHELMSFORD / MASS" on the reverse ricasso and "U.S. / 1864 / A.G.M." on the obverse ricasso. Gilded-brass hilt; wire-wrapped leather grip. Iron scabbard with two mounting rings.
Estate of Kenneth Alan Hill, Sr., Fort Worth, Texas.
Condition: Good. Blade showing noticeable areas of spotting and patches of pitting; as well as scabbard.
