Description
Engraved Parker Bros. BH Grade Double Barrel Shotgun.Serial no. 215294 [barrels, receiver, fore-end and lower tang], 20 gauge, 30-inch barrels with textured rib and fixed bead sights. Blued finish. Top of barrel marked: PARKER BROS. MAKERS, MERIDEN CT U.S.A. ACME STEEL. Elaborately scroll and game scene engraved receiver, each side marked: PARKER BROS. Dual triggers. Foliate scroll engraved triggerguard and lever. Finely checkered walnut pistolgrip stock [possible factory replacement] and splinter fore-end. Noshoc rubber recoil pad. Gold-plated grip cap inscribed M Mc N. Length of pull: 14-inches. Weight: 6-pounds, 12-ounces.
Condition: Very good to excellent. Overall showing light and handling wear and a few very fine patches of pitting. Inside barrels have minor imperfections from likely small dents/pitting fixed at some point. Vibrant case colors remaining. Wood good, but no escutcheon present indicates possible replacement/re-checkering. Action good. Good bores [as noted].
