Description
English Lion Pommel Short Saber Made by Thomas Gill of Birmingham.27-inch slightly curved blade with a narrow fuller on the top edge running to within 8-inches of the tip and a wider central fuller extending to the tip. Both sides of ricasso marked with the maker name. Brass hilt with lion head pommel; wooden grips wrapped with a copper band. No scabbard.
Condition: Overall smooth-gray patina with scattered shallow surface pitting; cutting edge with small nicks.
