Description

Remington Falling Block Saddle Ring Carbine.
Serial no. 414, .30 caliber, 20 1/2-inch barrel. Blued finish. Falling block, single-shot action. Saddle ring. Rawhide wrapped wooden stock and fore-end, accented with assorted brass rivets.
Provenance: National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Sold to benefit the Museum's collections and acquisitions.

Condition: Good. Noticeable thinning to muzzle and relief edges. Scattered pitting.
Front sight and buttplate absent. Discoloration and cracking present to hide. Heavy wear to stock and very loose to receiver. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
