Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle with Beaded Leather Scabbard and Letter.

Serial no. 234916B, .32 W.C.F. caliber, 24 1/4-inch barrel with fixed front sight and rear elevation sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Dust cover. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Crescent metal buttplate. Manufactured in 1887. Sold along with decorative leather scabbard, 51-inches in overall length. Also included is a signed typed letter, that states Pawnee Bill Gifted the leather scabbard to Oscar Dancey once he joined his Wild West show in 1903.

Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs and dings present to wood. Action good. Strong bore. Tear repair to top of scabbard.
