Description
Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle with Factory Letter.Serial no. 78185, .38 caliber, 24 1/4-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and rear elevation sight. Blued finish. Case-hardened hammer and lever. Dust cover. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Metal buttplate. Manufactured in 1881. Sold along with factory letter dated March 5, 1992, confirming statistical data.
Condition: Fine. Retaining approximately 30-40% thinning blue finish, the balance a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to wood. Action crisp. Strong bore.
