Lot of Two Civil War Era Saber Bayonets.

Includes: 1) Rifle Saber Bayonet Made by Collins & Co., Dated 1861. Blade measures just over 20-inches; 24 3/4-inches overall. The reverse ricasso is marked "COLLINS & CO / HARTFORD / 1861". Brass grips. No scabbard. 2) Spencer Navy Rifle Model 1861 Saber Bayonet. Blade measures 20 3/4-inches; 26-inches overall. Brass grips. Serial numbered 177. No scabbard.

Condition: 1) Good. Blade has a smooth dark patina with areas of scattered light surface rust. Small nicks in the cutting edge. 2) Good. Light patina of surface rust to the blade with some spotting. From the Collection of Dr. Phillip R. Rutherford.
