Description
German Mauser Broomhandle C96 Semi-Automatic Pistol.Serial no. 248878 [back of receiver], 7.63 x 25mm caliber, 5 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and adjustable rear 50m-1,000m rear sight. Blued finish. Top of barrel marked: WAFFENFABRIK / MAUSER / OBERNDCRFA/N. Right side of frame stamped: WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER / OBERNDORF A NECKAR. (crown) / (crown) / U German proof mark to left side of barrel. Left side of receiver marked: 1920. Grooved walnut grip panels. Lanyard ring. Introduced in 1896 by German arms manufacturer Mauser (Construktion 96), officially entering full production around 1897. Produced until 1937, with approximately 1 million units manufactured.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 90-94% finish with a few thin spots, light handling wear and very fine patches of pitting. Action good. Strong bore. Tom Mixon Collection
