Description

17th Century English Hounslow Hanger.

25 ½-inch blade; 31 ½-inches overall. Narrow single narrow fullers on each side of the blade running to within 5 ½-inches of the tip. The blade bears an unknown maker mark. Steel guard incorporating foliate designs. Grooved wooden grip. Ex Harold Peterson collection.

Condition: About good. Blade with overall smooth dark patina with scattered spotting. Nicks in the cutting edge. Wooden grip cracked.
