Cased Colt Model 1848 Type II Baby Dragoon Single Action Revolver.

Serial no. 9353 [barrel, frame, triggerguard, cylinder and butt], .31 caliber, 5-inch octagonal barrel with two-line New York address. Blued and case-hardened finish. Etched cylinder scene, along with: COLT'S / Patent. Left side of frame stamped: COLT'S / PATENT. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Silver-plated gripstraps, featuring K near triggerguard screw and T to right side of triggerguard. Manufactured in 1849. Contained in fitted wooden display case with purple felt lining. Sold along with cap tin, bullet mold and powder flask [case and accessories, apart from the bullet mold are later].

Condition: Fine for this model. Barrel, cylinder and frame showing grey metal with scattered areas of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Gripstrap retaining approximately 70-80% silver finish. Grips with light wear and bruises. Action crisp. Lightly pitted bore.
