Description
London Colt Model 1878 Frontier Double Action Revolver.Serial no. 18825 [butt], .44-40 caliber, 5 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Nickel-plated finish. Top of barrel marked: COLT'S PT FA MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. DEPOT 14 PALL MALL LONDON. Checkered factory hard rubber grip panels. Lanyard ring. Manufactured in 1887.
Condition: Very good as refinished. Overall showing scattered handling wear, staining and fine patches of pitting. Action not working, needs adjustment. Lightly pitted bore. Nelson A. Faerber Collection.
