Description
U.S. Government Colt Detective Special Double Action Revolver with Factory Letter.Serial no. B03805 [frame and crane], .38 caliber, 2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued finish. Rampant Colt to left side of frame. U.S. engraved on backstrap. Checkered walnut grip panels with inlaid Colt medallions. Sold along with factory letter dated May 9, 2007, confirming configuration and sold to the United States Government Commanding Officer, Letterkenny Army Depot. Manufactured in 1970.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 95-97% finish with scattered signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Tracking line to cylinder. Scuffs and dings present to wood. Action crisp. Bright bore.
