Description
Colt Single Action Army Revolver.Serial no. 28671 [frame, triggerguard and butt] and 8671 [cylinder], .45 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Two-line, two-date patent to left side of frame. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1876.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to wood, with some loss at corners. JF and (triangle) carved into grip. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
