Description
Joe Bowman Inscribed Sturm Ruger Model Blackhawk Single Action Revolver.Serial no. 116720 [frame], .45 caliber, 4 3/4-inch barrel with fixed front blade sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued finish. Larger modified case-hardened hammer, done by Joe himself according to family notes. Ruger logo to left side of frame. Smooth walnut grip panels with inlaid Ruger medallions. Backstrap inscribed: JOE BOWMAN. Ruger's CEO, Mike Fifer, praised him as "a true ambassador for Ruger and the shooting industry," highlighting his contributions as a gifted shooter, entertainer, and war hero.
Condition: Good as partially cleaned. Blued finish mainly remaining to cylinder and ejector rod housing, the balance a bright grey patina with signs of handling wear and noticeable areas of pitting. Few scuffs and dings present to wood. Crisp action. Bright bore. From Joe Bowman "The Straight Shooter Collection".
