Description
Engraved Belgian Auguste Francotte Double Barrel Shotgun.Serial no. 85927 [barrels, fore-end and receiver], 20-gauge, 30-inch barrels with textured rib and fixed front brass bead sight. Tops of barrels marked: AUG. FRANCOTTE ETE / A. LIEGE. Elaborately scroll and fowl scene engraved case-hardened receiver. Dual triggers. Numerous Belgium proof marks to receiver and barrels. Checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and splinter fore-end. Length of pull: 14 1/8-inches. Weight: 6-pounds, 4-ounces.
Condition: Very good as refurbished and possibly re-stocked. Retaining approximately 94-96% finish with light handling wear, a few thin spots and very fine patches of pitting. Noticeable ding to left side of barrel. Minor scuffs and dings present to wood. Action good. Bright bores. Collection of a Southern Gentleman.
