Fine U.S. Colt Single Action Army Revolver Lyle and Clark Inspected.
Serial no. 55365, .45 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with address in block letters. Blued and case-hardened finish. Bull's eye ejector rod tip. Left side of frame with 3-line patent mark and stamped: U.S. 1-piece walnut grip with crisp DAL cartouche and dated: 1880. Right side with crisp DFC cartouche. All serial numbers match including the four digits on the cylinder and backstrap channel. Bottom of barrel, frame, cylinder and bottom of right grip all stamped: DFC.

Condition: Fine to excellent. Retaining approximately 94-98% original factory finish. Strong bright blue on barrel, ejector rod housing and cylinder. Fine case colors on frame and hammer. Minor, fine patches of pitting at muzzle and on trigger guard. Light thinning observed at front of ejector. Light high point edge wear to grip frame. Fine tracking line to cylinder. Grips fine with minor dents to left panel. Otherwise excellent. Action crisp. Bore bright showing no signs of wear. Likely unfired. Shipped 1880. This is the finest Lyle inspected Colt we have seen.
