Description
Texas Ranger Bob Badgett Cinco Peso Ranger Badge.Constructed from a Mexican 1947 or 1948 issue five peso coin which has been hammered slightly convex and voided to create the Texas "Lone Star" central motif. The badge is engraved on the obverse BOB BADGETT / TEXAS RANGERS, the letters highlighted with black paint and enhanced with additional floral accents. The reverse still retains traces of the die struck 5 peso coin and features a hinged pin and barrel catch for mounting.
Currently no information is available on Bob Badgett.
Condition: Fine, displaying wear from use. Moderate toning present. Star has some stress defects near bottom on reverse and is unusually further arched.
