Description
Texas Ranger Don Anderson Cinco Peso Ranger Badge.Constructed from a Mexican 1947 or 1948 issue five peso coin which has been hammered slightly convex and voided to create the Texas "Lone Star" central motif. The badge is engraved on the obverse DON ANDERSON / TEXAS RANGERS, the letters highlighted with black paint and enhanced with additional floral accents. The reverse still retains traces of the die struck 5 peso coin and features a hinged pin and barrel catch for mounting.
Don Weldon Anderson joined DPS in 1962 and was a Texas Ranger from 1979-1995. Attained the rank of Sergeant, from Company B.
Condition: Fine, displaying wear from use. Light toning present.
