Description
Colt Model 1862 Fluted Police Percussion Revolver with Leather Holster.Serial no. 14518 [barrel, frame, triggerguard and butt], .36 caliber, 6 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Fluted cylinder. COLTS / PATENT to left side of frame. Brass gripstraps. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1862. Contained in unmarked leather flap holster.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to wood. Action good. Lightly pitted bore. Honest age wear to leather. Nelson A. Faerber Collection.
