U.S. Martially Marked Colt 1860 Army Model Percussion Revolver.

Serial no. 39800 [frame, barrel, triggerguard and butt] and 9800 [cylinder], .44 caliber, 8-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA. Etched cylinder scene. COLTS / PATENT to left side of frame. Multiple inspector marks: CC left side of barrel, B left side of grip, S behind triggerguard and L right side of barrel. Brass triggerguard. Smooth walnut one-piece grip with cartouche on left side. Manufactured in 1862.

Condition: Very good. Retaining traces of finish, the balance a smooth grey patina with honest handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Vibrant case-colors remaining. Minor scuffs and scratches present to wood. Crisp action. Strong bore.
