Colt Model 1851 Navy Single Action Revolver.

Serial no. 49077 [barrel, frame, triggerguard, loading lever, butt and cylinder], .36 caliber, 7 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight. Top of barrel marked: ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY. Case-hardened hammer. Left side of frame stamped: COLTS PATENT. Brass gripstraps. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1856. The 1851 Navy became a favored sidearm of soldiers, lawmen, and outlaws alike during the American Civil War, the Wild West era, and beyond.

Condition: Very good as cleaned. Finish primarily a bright grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scuffs and dings present to wood, with some loss at corners. Action functions. Moderately pitted bore.
