Description

U.S. Colt Model 1902 Alaskan Double Action Revolver.

Serial no. 45351 [butt], .45 caliber, 6-inch barrel with fixed front blade sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued finish. ITT, 1902 and U.S. stamped to ride side of frame. RAC to left side of frame and triggerbow. Case-hardened hammer and trigger. Oversized triggerguard. Many believed this was to allow operation in the cold while wearing gloves, which is false. Actually it allowed for an elongated trigger to offer better leverage for double action firing. Checkered factory hard rubber grips. Manufactured in 1902.
Property from the Estate of Robert (Bobby) Palazzo, Westlake Village, Ca.

Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with noticeable areas of age, handling wear and pitting. Smooth checkering, scuffs and scratches present to grips. Lanyard ring absent. Action rotates, but does not lock in place at full cock. Lightly pitted bore.
