Antique Colt Single Action Army Revolver.

Serial no. 17976 [frame, triggerguard and butt] and 3239 [gate], .45 caliber, 4 3/4-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued finish. Varnished walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1875.
Colt Factory letter confirms current configuration, apart from barrel length and stocks marked "Not Listed". Guns was shipped to H&D Folsom Arms, New York on April 27, 1875, guns in shipment, 45. [Photocopy of Colt letter is included].

Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with noticeable signs of age, handling wear and pitting. Some marring to screws. Tracking line to cylinder. Scattered dings and scuffs present to grip, with some wood loss to corners. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
