Civil War Identification Disk of Orrin F. Chesley, a Fifer in the 15th New Hampshire Volunteers.

Brass, 28mm. Obverse marked "WAR OF 1861 / [eagle and shield] / UNITED STATES". The reverse is marked "Fifer. O. F. CHESLEY / Co. B / 15th REG / N.H.V. / BARNSTEAD".

Orrin Chesley, twenty-seven years of age, enlisted on October 18, 1862 as a musician. He mustered into "B" Company of the New Hampshire 15th Infantry. He mustered out on August 13, 1863 at Concord, New Hampshire. Following the war, he was a member of GAR Post #92 in Barnstead Center, New Hampshire. He died April 19, 1907.
