Description
Engraved H. Persons / Moore Saw-Handle Percussion Pistol.Unserialized, .36 caliber, 17 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight. Top of barrel marked: H. PERSONS / PLATTSBURGH. Upper tang dated 1860. Scroll engraved hammer. MOORE to right side of lock. Smooth walnut saw-handle grip with hinged patchbox. Brass-tipped wood ramrod.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with noticeable areas of wear and patches of pitting. Scattered dings and scuffs present to wood. Crack to right side behind lock. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
