U.S. Robbins & Lawrence 1849 Percussion Mississippi Rifle.

Unserialized, .58 caliber, 32-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Lock marked: WINDSOR V.T. / 1849 and ROBBINS / & / LAWRENCE / U.S. Smooth hardwood stock with two brass barrel bands, triggerguard, hinged patchbox and buttplate. Two faint cartouches to left side of stock. Sling swivels. Brass tipped ramrod. Note: contract made at Windsor, Vermont from 1848-1853, total quantity around 15,000.

Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Noticeable scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood. Action needs adjustment. Pitted bore.
