Description

Soviet Soyuz 27 & 28 Signed Banner with Czech/ Soviet Flag and Czech Stamp Sheet in Framed Display. A 5.5" x 8.25" (sight size) blue silk banner with the Salyut 6 insignia and Russian text (translated: "International flight crew aboard the orbital station 1978"), signed by three, possibly flown. It is double matted and framed to an overall 10.5" x 21.5" with a Czech Soyuz 27/28 souvenir stamp sheet. On the verso (this is a double-sided frame) is a combination Soviet/ Czech flag banner, 6.5" x 13.5" (overall). Cosmonaut Vladimír Remek of Soyuz 28 was from Czechoslovakia and became the first person launched into space who was not a citizen of either the United States or the Soviet Union. A few chips in the frame on the flag side, otherwise very fine.
