Description
F-117A Nighthawk: Group of Three Framed Patch and Flown Item Displays. Three attractive memorabilia displays, all in matching black frames. As follows:(1) An 10.5" x 7.5" (sight size) flown American flag with certificate stating, in part: "...This flag was flown on an/ operational test and evaluation mission on a/ F-117A Stealth Fighter/ Aircraft Ship #838/ This mission originated at Airforce Plant 42/ on the 21 of Aug. 1992", signed at bottom by Major Chris Seat, the pilot. This is framed to an overall 11.25" x 17.25" along with three patches: large Baja Scorpions, Dragon Test Team, and Flight Test Weapons. Major Seat was a test program pilot and Bandit #115
(2) A 4.25" x 3" flown embroidered American flag/ F-117A Stealth Fighter patch on an illustrated certificate stating, in part: "This is to certify that/ this flag patch was flown on an operational/ mission aboard F-117A ship S/N 783 Sept. 22, 1992", signed by Major Chris Seat, pilot. This is framed to an overall 11.25" x 17.25" along with three patches: 37th Tactical Fighter Wing, 415th Tactical Fighter Squadron "Nightstalkers," and F-117A Flight Test.
(3) A 10.75" x 8.25" (sight size) color photo of two F-117A Stealth Fighters on the ground, signed by three pilots: "Major Doc Whitescarver/ 333" (Major Clare G. Whitescarver), "Capt Kevin Leek/ Bandit 376" (Captain James M. "Leekster" Leek), and "David A. Adair" [Bandit #386]. This is framed to an overall 16.25" x 13.75" along with two patches: "Grim Reapers" and "Ghost Riders" 416th Tactical Fighter Squadron. On the outside of the glass are two additional patches: 4450th Tactical Group and "The Black Sheep" 8th Fighter Squadron. F-117 pilots call themselves "Bandits" and they each have a number based on the sequential order of their first Nighthawk flight.
These would be perfect for the den or office wall of any aviation enthusiast. All in excellent condition with just minor nicks in the frames.
