Description
McKinley & Roosevelt: Colorful Mechanical Badge. Jugate portraits appear on this brass shell badge with red, white, and blue enameled flags. An eagle appears at top. The "novelty" of this item is that the eagle's beck could be made to move when a wire (currently lacking) was pulled downwards through a metal tube. Measuring 1 3/8" x 1¾" overall, it is reminiscent of the patriotic brass shell badges issued during the Civil War. Aside from some tarnish, it is in very fine condition.Auction Info
