Description

Theodore Roosevelt: Uncle Sam Endorsement Button. 3 1/2" button with cardboard back showing standing figures of Uncle Sam and Teddy Roosevelt. Uncle Sam places his hand on Teddy's shoulder and exclaims: "He's Good Enough For Me!" Copied from a cartoon first published in the New York Evening Mail. The hanger indicates it was sold as a souvenir at the 1905 Inauguration in Washington, D.C. The flag ribbon has fraying, some discoloration and is partially separated. The button has a few minor spots, but is far better than most examples typically seen.
