Description
Stephen A. Douglas: 1860 Campaign Ribbon. This 3" x 7 ½" silk ribbon has an engraved portrait of the Little Giant with his facsimile signature below. It is part of a set issued for all presidential candidates in 1860. A faint line below the image indicates it was based upon a photograph by Brady. The ribbon exhibits light, overall soiling and has four minor pulls in the fabric, to the right of the portrait which is unaffected. This is a very scarce design. Est. $800-$1,200Auction Info
