Description
Zachary Taylor: 1848 Dated Polychrome Plate. This 7.75" Staffordshire plate has a blue transfer portrait of Zachary Taylor in uniform. It is inscribed: "General Z. Taylor. Born Novr 24th 1784. Elected President of America 1848." The border or lip has six raised areas of floral designs, three of which are hand-painted. Quite colorful, it is in excellent condition.
