Moderate wear and soiling to boards. Minor even toning to text. One small spot of foxing and damp-staining on the title page and contents page. Very good.More Information:
First edition, first issue, with line 3 of page 124 reading "The revel of the treacherous wine." Octavo. 215 pages plus twelve-page publisher's catalog dated October 1858.
Publisher's brown cloth, decoratively stamped and ruled in blind on the covers, and lettered in gilt on the spine. Moderate wear and soiling to boards. Minor even toning to text. One small spot of foxing and damp-staining on the title page and contents page. Publisher's ad tipped-in to the front free endpaper. Altogether, a very good copy.
