Publisher's original ribbed gray cloth, lettered in gilt on the cover inside a double-gilt rule box, and on the spine. Edges stained pale yellow. Contents toned, spine slightly faded, else a handsome copy in very good condition. Includes a jacket color photocopied from an original.
An interesting array of clippings regarding the Davenport brothers, including a 1911 obituary for Ira Davenport are laid-in this copy. The Davenport brothers were spiritualists plying their trade in the late 19th century. They are mentioned by Houdini in this book.
