Henry Miller. Autograph Letter Signed. Big Sur, 11/24/52. Two pages on one quarto sheet of personal stationery. Addressed "Dear Dr. Liebmann-" Describing his (Miller's) struggles to work on Nexus.
Approximately 11 x 8.5 inches. With one vertical and two horizontal creases, a few words blurred on second page. Near fine. In this letter, Miller thanks Liebmann (a prominent doctor and literary collector) for his letter (Liebmann's original typed letter of three and a half quarto pages is enclosed) and compliments Liebmann on his insight, and thanks him for his praise and a forthcoming gift. Later in the letter, Miller states he began Nexus, but had to shelve it due to financial problems. An excellent, friendly and literary letter from Miller. With the original mailing envelope in Miller's hand.
