Eight small octavo volumes. Portrait frontispiece in Volume I, engraved title pages in each volume. Text in Italian. Contemporary full vellum, spines stamped and lettered in gilt. Very minor rubbing, a few small spots. An excellent set of Algarotti's works on fine arts and philosophy. From the library of legendary eighteenth-century English actor, playwright and theater manager David Garrick, with his large bookplate on the front pastedown of each volume.Auction Info
