[Daniel Defoe]. Madagascar: or Robert Drury's Journal, During Fifteen Years Captivity on that Island. London: W. Meadows; J. Marshall; T. Worrall, 1729.First edition. Octavo. xvi, 464 pages. Engraved folding map with tape reinforcement and five engraved plates.
Contemporary full calf, rebacked to style. Boards ruled and decorated in blind with mottled center design on front and rear. General rubbing and wear to extremities. Offsetting to endpapers. Toning and light foxing to endpapers. Title page has one-inch jagged tear on fore-edge. Pages are toned with occasional light foxing and a few small insect nibbles. Overall, a very good copy of this lesser seen title.
