More Information:

Philip K. Dick (1928-1982) is still regarded as one of the giants of twentieth-century American science fiction. Although he made a marginal living during his lifetime, since his death his works have been the basis of several successful films, including Blade Runner (Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?), Total Recall (We Can Remember It for You Wholesale), A Scanner Darkly, and Minority Report. His influence is still felt in our culture through the authors he influenced (William Gibson, Ursula K. Le Guin, et al.) as well as filmmakers (The Wachowski Brothers, Spike Jonze, David Cronenberg, et al.).
