[i-vii]viii-x[xi]xii-xiv[xv]xvi, [1]2-624. Forty inserted plates, including frontispiece and vignette title. Collates nearly complete: part XIII and part XVI both lack the 8 page "Grace Aguilar's Works" ad. Original printed wrappers. The usual light wear and rubbing, some light soiling to wrappers and some plates, some parts with ink note, most parts with restoration at spine. Overall, a near fine copy. Chemised in quarter red morocco slipcase. Hatton and Cleaver, pp. 275-304. Smith, Dickens, I, 10.
