Original wrappers; also with original proof dust jacket with "21s. net" price on front flap, and "PROOF ONLY / Provisional publication date 4 April, 1968" stamped notice on rear flap. 255 pages. Yellow-green printed wrappers. Binding slightly cocked, as is common for these advance review copies. Very minor toning to title page; slight wear along folds of jacket, most notably at head of spine. A near fine copy. The first James Bond novel to be issued after Ian Fleming's death.
