[2], [vii], 295, [1, colophon], [4, Index]; [ii], 299, [1, blank], [4, Index] pages. With inserted frontispiece, engraved title-page and seventy-two plates, all hand-colored. Half-title in volume I. Contemporary full brown calf, boards decoratively ruled in gilt. Both volumes rebacked in early brown morocco, spines lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, marbled endleaves. Spine and boards worn with some chipping to headcaps, front joint of volume I cracking, small catalogue description and bookseller's ticket on front pastedown of volume I, some offsetting, minor thumbsoiling and foxing in text and plates.
