Moll's New Map of North America
[Map]. Herman Moll. A New Map of North America, According to the Newest Observations, from Atlas Geographus, A Complete System of Geography, Ancient and Modern, ca. 1716.Copper-engraved map, with full color in outline by hand. 7.25 x 10.25 inches sight size (matted to 11 x 14 inches overall). Folds and even toning, else, very good.
This small map encompasses North America as well as the West Indies and northern South America. It includes the Straits of Mozeemlek and Anian to north and Gulf of California to east. The British Colonies are confined east of the Mississippi River and Lake Superior simply named Upper Lake.
