John Ruskin. A Collection of Works, including: Fors Clavigera; The Works of John Ruskin; Inaugural Address Delivered at the Cambridge School of Art; The Ethics of the Dust. Sunnyside: George Allen, 1871-1884. First edition of Fors Clavigera, later editions of the others. Together, twenty one octavo volumes (Ethics of the Dust is a small octavo). Uniformly bound in contemporary full purple calf over beveled boards, covers paneled in black with black floral cornerpieces, spines ruled in black and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, all edges gilt, marbled endleaves. Spines uniformly sunned, some rubbing and wear to bindings. Still, a very good set.
