Illustrated with thirteen intertextual woodblock illustrations by Darwin's son, George. Publisher's original printed blue wrappers. Some wear and chipping to spine and corners, some creasing, wear and very minor foxing to wrappers, neat ink number on spine, gutters just starting at top and bottom of text leaves, yet still quite solid. Most pages unopened. Still, a near fine copy of this fragile item, seldom seen in the original wrappers. Housed in cloth clamshell case. Freeman 833.
