[George Washington]. Legacies of Washington: Being a Collection of the Most Approved Writings of the Late George Washington, with an Appendix, Containing a Sketch of the Life of this Illustrious Patriot. Trenton: Printed by Sherman, Mershon & Thomas, 1800.Small octavo. [iv], [5]-283 pages (page 215 mis-numbered 115.). Portrait frontispiece engraved by William Harrison.
Contemporary calf with spine title label lettered in gilt. A rather worn binding, with rear board detached. Ownership signature on front pastedown. Portrait frontispiece two-thirds detached. Considerable toning and occasional foxing to text. A scarce printing in good condition.
Also published in Boston and New York as Washington's Political Legacies.
