Contemporary brown paneled calf. Rebacked with modern tan calf, brown gilt morocco lettering label. Some wear to boards, text toned. Neat contemporary ownership signature. Near fine. Previous owner's bookplate laid in.

A very important exposition of Congregationalism that reaffirms the principles of the Cambridge Platform. Mather actually finished the work in 1701. It begins with a four-page attestation by Increase Mather. A rare and important work.
