Paul Brown. Polo. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1949. Later edition. Signed on the front free endpaper by twelve polo players, four each from the Texan, Beverly Hills, and Mexican teams, presumably signed at a tournament sometime in the late 1940s or early 1950s, perhaps the U. S. Open or the Camacho Cup. Octavo. [xii], 83 pages. Publisher's green glazed boards with white titles. Original pictorial dust jacket. Minor edge wear to the book and jacket. Minor creasing and slight loss to the extremities of the jacket. Very good condition. The polo players who signed this copy include Robert Skene, Cecil Smith, and Guillermo Gracida, all members of the Polo Hall of Fame. In addition, three other members of the famous polo-playing Gracida family signed the book.
